Prerequisites
Leads and follows should already feel confident with intermediate salsa patterns and be able to execute them naturally in a social dancing setting before enrolling in the Advanced Salsa Course. You should be able to recall and combine these moves fluently:
- Right and Left Turns (single and double)
- Cross Body Lead with Inside and Outside Turns
- Copa Variations (open and closed position)
- Cross Body Lead with Double Turn
- Open Break Variations and Cuddle/Wrap Combinations
- Hammerlock Patterns
- Basic Partner Styling (body movement, shines, and simple syncopations)
- Maintaining Connection, Frame, and Timing at Faster Tempos
If these moves are unfamiliar, or if you don’t yet feel fully comfortable dancing them on the social floor, our Intermediate Salsa Course is the perfect place to solidify your skills before advancing further.
